Scope of Work:

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as exterior lighting / circuits, generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician’s hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. This position requires working primarily outdoors in various types of weather conditions. Must be able to operate and work from various lifts and bucket trucks. Will be responsible for working with vendors to procure quotes for replacement parts and equipment, will also be responsible for the proper documentation of work performed and materials used.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of six (6) years journey-level experience and have completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent formal vocational/technical training program on industrial electrical systems. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience. Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.

Must maintain required city/county/state license(s) and/or certification(s), where applicable. Must have a valid state driver’s license.
