KIRA Awarded Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Port Operations Support Services Contract

KIRA Construction Management LLC, has been awarded a $19M contract for US Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (NSGB) Port Operations Support Services, CEO Richard Rinehart announced today. This contract has a base year and three option years of performance.

KIRA Construction Management LLC (KIRA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC), owned by the largest tribe in Alaska with over 30,000 members. KIRA teamed with MCM, Inc, as their subcontractor for this effort.

Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is the oldest overseas military installation. Located in the southeast corner of Cuba, the base supports U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships, along with allied nation ships operating in the Caribbean area by providing contingency and quality logistical support with superior services and facilities. KIRA and its teaming partner MCM, Inc., will be responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities including operation of multiple watercraft, related maintenance services, port operations, and waterfront administration.
