Contract Description

This is an all inclusive, five-year, multi-million dollar facilities maintenance contract where KIRA is responsible for "everything under the roof and on the property with limited exclusions" for eight Land Ports of Entry throughout northern New York. Functions include, but not all encompassing, are the following systems; electrical and equipment, mechanical, plumbing, energy management control systems, HVAC, fire protection, architectural and structural systems, service desk request operations, locks and keycard systems, dock levers and elevators/vertical transportation system.

The eight Land Ports of Entry (LPOE) are serviced by the GSA, Region 2, Border Station Field Office spanning an 80 mile territory along the northern border of New York and Canada and include: Champlain, Rouses Point, Overton's Corner, Mooers, Chateaugay, Trout River, Fort Covington and Massena.

Full contract operations begin July 1, 2010.

June 29, 2010 - New Employee Orientation

Orientation is mandatory and will begin promptly at 5:00 pm lasting until 7:00 pm. Please arrive early to receive materials and be seated. Venue to be determined.

July 1, 2010 - KIRA assumes full operation of the contract
