KIRA Project Sites Awarded Numerous PLANET Safety Accolades
KIRA has again been recognized for by PLANET for the company's commitment to safety.
PLANET's Safety Recognition Awards Program, sponsored by CNA, is designed to reward green industry professionals who consistently demonstrate their commitment to safety, and reflects the dedication of these individuals and their companies to creating and maintaining safe work environments.

KIRA's Jacksonville, FL Regional Base Operating Support II Contract Celebrates GFY 2011 Incident Free
KIRA's RBOS II, Jacksonville, FL, contract celebrated GFY 2011 accident and incident free. With over 225,000 man hours, there was no lost time or recordable injuries. KIRA's Project Manager, Tim Merchant, and the site's QS&E Manager, Steve Flamio, work diligently to ensure that our employees are proactively safety aware and properly trained.
KIRA also partners with our subcontractors onsite providing additional safety resources and training, while holding them accountable

KIRA Begins Phase-in of USCG Base Maintenance Contract in Maryland
KIRA has begun phase-in of the five-year, multi-million dollar contract to maintain the United States Coast Guard YARD in Baltimore, MD. Full contract operations begin March 15, 2011.
Services provided on this contract include: maintenance and operations of buildings and structures, pest control, fire protection and safety, refuse and recycling, elevator maintenance, HVAC and refrigeration, grounds maintenance, and electrical and water distribution systems.

Fort Carson Support Services (FCSS), the KIRA Team who executes the base operations support services for Fort Carson, has received a customer service award from Mr. Hall Alguire, Director of Public Works.

KIRA Expands Scope of Services on DHS Contract
KIRA will now provide protective maintenance during the next 90 days for the Massena Border Patrol Station, located in New York. KIRA’s responsibilities include the following areas: fire alarm system, generator emergency maintenance, fire extinguisher maintenance, lighting issues, heating system, potable water testing and report, HVAC water system testing, fuel storage tanks, daytime and after hours emergency on call response, and all administrative tasks related to these areas.
