KIRA ranks in the Top 500
For the fourth year in a row, Hispanic Business Magazine has named
KIRA one of the top 500 minority-owned businesses in the United States.
KIRA has been moving up the rankings during the past several years and
now ranks #87, up twenty-seven spots from last year. To be considered
for the Top 500, which measures both performance and progress, you must
be headquartered in the U.S. and ownership needs to be at least 51%
Hispanic U.S. citizen.
Miami Herald features KIRA in their Business Monday section
KIRA has been featured in the June 09, 2008 Miami Herald Business Monday
section. "KIRA thrives, despite hard times" discusses the
low-cost, high-quality services provided by the company to the United
States Department of Defense. ''The firm's performance is excellent

KIRA receives top honors in the South Florida "Good to Great"
Awards
It was recently announced that KIRA was named as the winner
of the 2008 South Florida Good to Great Awards in the 250 to 999 employee
category. This program showcases the spirit of businesses with demonstrated
success throughout the South Florida region. KIRA is honored to be recognized
with previous finalists and winners such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival
Cruise Lines.

KIRA featured in the Fort Belvoir Eagle
KIRA's recent efforts at Fort Belvoir, during a severe rainstorm
which caused damage on the base, were recognized in the base publication.
The story highlights KIRA and the Army’s 911th join efforts/support
in the opening of a washed out bridge leading into Davison’s Army
Airfield. "We had great collaboration with KIRA and everything
went smoothly" Capt. David Dietz, 911th commander, said.

KIRA employees at NAS JAX volunteer time to make improvements on the
base
KIRA sponsored supplies and employees donated their time and
expertise to the NAS Jacksonville main gate beautification project.
The project included clearing out exisiting bushes and trees, installing
new irrigation and putting in approximately 1,000 new plants and sod.
In a subsequent visit by Captain Serrano, Base Commander NAS JAX he
stated to KIRA's Project Manager that "the base never looked better."

The

Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce names KIRA as the Most Innovative
Large Company in Florida
KIRA is proud to announce that the company has received first-place
honors in the Top 100 Minority Business Awards, presented by the Greater
Miami Chamber of Commerce. KIRA, the preeminent military base facilities
maintenance and construction contractor, was presented with the award
for Most Innovative Company in the Large Company Division. The company

KIRA receives 98% award fee at Naval Weapons Station Charleston, SC
For the fourth quarter of FY 07, KIRA received an "Excellent"
on it's award fee evaluation at NWS Charleston, resulting in a 98% award
score. Renee Comfort, Director of Acquisition and Fee Determination
Official for NAVFAC Southeast had this to say about KIRA's performance,
"I am pleased by your accomplishments, innovations, and your
ability to exceed customer expectations." KIRA had zero quality
defects out of the 2,209 work orders and 1,351 quality checkpoints inspected.
KIRA CEO featured in Hispanic Business Magazine
Hispanic Business Magazine's 2007 Hispanic Entreprenuer of
the Year, Carlos Garcia was featured in their January/February 2008
edition of the publicati. "A Knack for Entreprenuership" provides
an overview and insight into KIRA's successful 20-year history as well
as some of the operational technologies and advances that have allowed
KIRA to be the low cost provider to the U.S. Government.
