About KIRA
KIRA provides base operating support services, construction and renovation and facilities maintenance services—at the lowest possible cost to the government. Operating on more than 30 government installations throughout the United States and overseas, KIRA maintains exceptional client relationships. Focusing its efforts on a single industry and client, KIRA streamlines all aspects of its operations—from business development to contract completion—resulting in superior service levels and significant savings that are passed on to the government. By leveraging technological innovations, such as a mobile supplies warehouse and a paperless labor-management system, KIRA consistently improves efficiency and performance. KIRA is dedicated to respectfully treating its diverse employee base and to providing opportunities for career advancement. Recognized throughout the industry for its outstanding past-performance record KIRA delivers the people, technology, resources and knowledge required to be a best-in-class contractor. KIRA supports the Department of Defense on over 30 locations throughout the United States as well as overseas. KIRA operates electric, water and waste plants, maintains runways, provides vehicle maintenance services, supply services, as well as offering services supporting virtually every category of base operations and logistic functions currently being outsourced by the Department of Defense. As the company celebrates its 20th anniversary, KIRA has developed a remarkable track record for the quality of its services. Evidence of this are the award fee scores earned by KIRA; during the 20 years that KIRA has been in business, the average award fee score earned by KIRA has exceeded 98%. This performance has resulted in KIRA being awarded increasing larger
contracts. In 2004, KIRA was awarded a $78 million, 8-year contract to
perform maintenance services at multiple Navy locations in Northeast Florida.
In 2005 KIRA began work on a 15-year, 200 employee assignment providing
Base Operation Support overseas for the Navy under a subcontract from
Computer Science Services (CSC.) Notable KIRA wins in 2006 include the
$60 million Army Base Operations Support Contract (BOS) at Fort Belvoir,
Virginia and the $178 million Base Operation Support Contract at Fort
Carson, Colorado. KIRA was also recently awarded a 5-year Multiple Award
Task Order Contract (MATOC) to perform construction services on Air Force
Military Bases in the United States. KIRA is a subcontractor on the 10-year
A-76 Base Operations “Big BOS” contract at Keesler Air Force
Base. All of these contracts were competitively procured; none were sole
sourced or directed awards. A partial list of current project sites include: • Fort Belvoir Army Base, Fort Belvoir, Virginia
